To have a functional solar pv system you need to wire the panels together to create an electrical circuit through which current will flow and you also need to wire the panels to the inverter that will convert the dc power produced by the panels to ac power that can be used in your home and sent to the grid.

As you see in the connection diagram at first the solar panel is connected to the solar charge controller and then a 24v battery is connected to the charge controller.
First the black wire then the red wire to the corresponding terminals.
In this video i connect a 500 watt inverter directly to a 50 watt solar panel.

Remove the cover for an unused circuit breaker and punch out the hole.
Take a solar panel and connect two leads from the positive and negative terminal present at the back side.
Now you re ready to wire the inverter to the breaker.
