Next connect the charge controller to the battery using battery cables. Yes the panels have wires off from them. Since i didn t have that long wires in my home i went with a long cable. From your solar panels to the led lights you will have a rather long cable wires going in between.

Similarly bend and solder all the positive leads together to produce a single common positive. Connect them to make a common connection. A single solar panel isn t going to power indoor domestic lighting but it will be able to power a series of outdoor lights. Your lights also connect to the battery.

For outdoor lights you can connect the battery directly to the lights to power them. After you install the panels connect them to the charge controller which should be close to the battery using low voltage wire. A good modern option for low wattage outdoor lights is led lights. If you just wire them directly to the battery they ll be on all the time except for when the battery is dead.
