Copper is an inherently corrosion resistant material which does not require special coatings to maintain its durability or its appearance.

We ship custom lengths of gutters up to 20 ft. Hung copper gutters are typically supported by brass or copper brackets or hangers spaced a maximum of 30 o c. The bottom of the frame may be pitched to provide positive drainage to the downspout. In snow areas or 36 o c.

The gutter is secured to the wood fascia with cleats at the top edge and is supported by brackets spaced at 30. A continuous copper apron strip extends onto the roof a maximum of 4. The lining must be free to move. Because 20 ounce copper is 25 thicker it requires 25 more copper to make.

Copper gutter linings are most often built into wood framed supporting structures. Brass or copper straps used in conjunction with a gutter bead stiffening brass bar are recommended for gutter widths greater than 6 or where severe ice or snow conditions exist. Copper s inherent properties make it an easy material to form and solder. At the minimum you should choose 16 ounce copper gutters but depending on the weather and rainfall in your location 20 ounce copper may be a better choice.

The brackets are fastened to the wood fascia by two brass screws.
